I have been fortunate this year in that I was blessed with new individuals that came into my life and enabled me with the opportunity to discover so much more of what New England has to offer. We are now in my favorite season: Fall!! The leaves are starting to change colors, we have had a few crisp days and the jackets are out.(Ahh - boy do I love fall jackets and snuggling under the covers on chilly nights!) So if you happen to be making the trek up to see the beautiful New England foliage, which is unlike anywhere else, here is my list of favorites discovered along the way.

StyleInspiration - The End of Summer into Fall Party Look

Image via Memorandum
Summer is coming to and end. The signs are all around us: back to school shopping ads, the sun is setting earlier and earlier and the incessant summer planning has come to an end. But you may have that last Summer wedding or big party to attend to. And maybe you are creatively wiped from all the events and parties you have dressed yourself these past few months. Instead of succumbing and dialing it in... paint the Summer of 2016 in red and go out with a bang!

Maybe one inspired by the late Oscar de la Renta's spanish flair full of ruffles and brightness!

BeautyTalk - Face Ready in Five "The Summer Edition"

Haloscope (Image via Glossier)
I believe in always putting your best foot forward. I also believe in being efficient with your time as there is always something you need to be doing. That means I usually do the same makeup routine each and everyday with a little extra thrown in for special events or that day you just want to feel extra good. Trying new makeup items? Who has time for that!? But, you notice chatter, when over and over again, the time comes to cave and see what the fuss is about.

What fuss am I speaking of? Well just Glossier's foray into the makeup arena with the introduction of their Phase 2 products. These were closely followed up with the addition of Haloscope, a highlighter like no other, which according to Refinery29 lives up to its hype!

RecipeTime - Shrimp & Asparagus Cauliflower Rice Risotto

Over the past six months I had an episode of the love diet striking. You know when you are just so happy and out and about wining and dining and moderation isn't first and foremost on your mind? Yep that diet is the one I had subscribed to. Further encouraged by a stressful job in a crumbling company and a big move, I would take any chance to be out and about ignoring downtime and exercise. About a month I decided something needed to give as I felt terrible. First discovery made was substituting cauliflower for rice. As a major carb fiend I knew I needed to try this. And here is the tastiest of concoctions I came up with using cauliflower rice!

I swear even my purist sister (rice should be rice) loved it!

StyleInspiration - A Laced (Wedding) Season

Aimee Song in Self-Portait (image via Song of Style)
Work stress has me like woah over the past few months. So rather than focus on fun things like shopping and styling, I have been a very serious working gal. However, this is no way to live, and, when over the past week the subject of what to wear to an upcoming wedding kept coming up with girls I knew it was time to put something together. I myself have a wedding coming up and whilst it isn't new to associate lace with weddings, the emergence of Self Portrait's amazingly gorge and sexy (they even launched a bridal line) offerings have me pining to make this my look.

SpotlightOn - MealPass in Boston

Clover Food Lab aka my Friday lunch

There is a new kid in town Boston. And by kid I mean your future new BFF just setup shop and you are seriously missing out if you don't bring this kid into your squad. Whom may that be? MealPass. What is that you say? Let me tell you all about it, because, ten days ago I too was in the dark.

It all started when a friend that is in the food industry asked me whether I did MealPass? I hadn't yet answered him when I immediately googled the word and promptly requested an invite after reading what little I could find. (Please let me in I clamored!!)

ShoppingTips - The Grown Up One-Piece

Exhibit A (image via Instagram)
Throughout my childhood and teenage years I was not allowed to wear two piece swimsuits. Obviously, as soon as I came to college I purchased my first two piece and never looked back. The thought of wearing a one piece made me cringe. But, over the past couple of years we have slowly seen one pieces pick up steam with many a style influencer sporting these and looking HOT (Exhibit A - Bella Hadid and Yolanda Foster).

So, inspired with the warm New England weather, and, with an upcoming warm weather trip I decided to venture out and look for some great options and below are my fave finds!

StyleInspiration - The Teddy Bear Coat

Image via Pinterest
Without a doubt the teddy bear coat is having its moment, see on the likes of Gigi Hadid to Julianne Moore, the plush jackets bring warmth and texture to any outfit. This was further ratified when Vogue profiled the look and spilled the beans on where to get Gigi's jacket. While Gigi's purse friendly Express jacket has long sold out on line - there is a curly jacket for you regardless of budget.

I personally became obsessed with this look and I am happy to share my findings!

Cleo Wade via Instagram
I gravitate strongly towards words of wisdom passed down by our elders or historical figures. In comes Cleo Wade, far from old but perhaps on her way to becoming historical, whom I discovered on Instagram after constantly seeing her notes pop up as liked by people I follow. After going through her feed I needed to know more. Her namesake website describes her as a "poet, artist, and speaker working across mediums, creating empowering messages (she even created a billboard for New Orleans to mark the ten year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina) to provoke emotional responses from viewers, blending simplicity with positivity, femininity and arresting honesty" and I concur. So while like everyone else I take each new year to check in, I am doing so celebrating being weird and setting the intention to be my own hero.
